A scream queen is an actress who has become associated with horror films, either through an appearance in a notable entry in the genre, as a frequent victim, or through constant appearances as the female protagonist. Most scream queens have a typecasting label of being beautiful, slim, tend to have a shower scene, usually have a chase scene where she never ends up escaping because of typical mistakes AKA running up the stairs instead of running out the front door, going outside by herself to 'investigate' a strange noise or is forced to go outside due to the 'killer' being in the house (the killer never ends up being in the house, instead ends up being very close to where the female victim is going to esacape). Most scream queens during the 'death scene' end up in minimal clothes, wet from either being in a pool or in the shower, and alone in a big house or locked area. And most of all the scream queen does a lot of crying and "no, no please"'s and of course and lots of blood-curdling screams.
BLOODY MARY'S SCREAM QUEENS do not escape the sterotype.
